Experiment #1: Making A Banger!

Experiment 1: Making A Banger!
What you need: sheet of stiff paper measuring 16x12 inches

Fold the longer edges of the paper together

Then open it back up

Fold the four corners into the first fold

Fold the paper in half along the first fold

Then fold it in half again, lengthways

Open out the second fold

Fold down the two sharp corners.

Fold the paper back along the second
fold to make a triange shape

Flick it down quickly - and a flap of paper
springs out and makes the air move suddenly.

You hear this as a loud "BANG"!

  1. Hey I really liked this. I showed B, and he wouldn't put it down. He made loud noises! He said he is going to bring you the paper that he uses, and it will make an even louder pop. If we can deal with all of the "pops" this would be a great experiment to do in science. :) <3
